About Nordisk Experiences
Understanding Oslo Through Stories, Culture and Society
I believe that discovering a city should go beyond visiting monuments.
The most meaningful travel experiences happen when we understand the ideas, stories, and everyday life that shape a place. Cities are living environments, shaped by history, culture, architecture, and the people who inhabit them.
This belief led me to create Nordisk Experiences — a platform offering thoughtful cultural experiences, study visits and guided explorations of Oslo designed for curious travelers and international visitors who want to understand Norway beyond the surface.
Our experiences are not about rushing from landmark to landmark. They are about perspective, conversation and discovery.
Through walks, stories and reflection, visitors gain a deeper understanding of Oslo and Norwegian society.
From Brazil to Oslo
I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a country known for its cultural diversity and strong storytelling traditions.
Throughout my career I have worked in different fields connected by one passion: helping people understand places and cultures.
Over the years I have worked as:
• a tour guide and experience designer
• a television producer and fixer for international productions
• a travel writer and storyteller
Eventually life brought me to Oslo, a city that fascinated me from the beginning.
Oslo offers a rare balance: pristine nature, a compact historic center, striking architecture, safety, social innovation, and an exceptional quality of life.
Living here taught me something meaningful: it is possible to become a local even without growing up in a place. By learning the language, understanding the culture, and living everyday life, Oslo gradually became a city I now proudly call home.
Explaining Norway From Two Perspectives
Being Brazilian and living in Norway has given me a perspective that many visitors find valuable.
I understand the curiosity travelers feel when encountering a society that consistently ranks among the most prosperous, equal and innovative in the world.
At the same time, living in Norway allows me to explain its culture from the inside — its values, history and everyday realities.
During our experiences we often explore topics such as:
• Norwegian history and identity
• architecture and urban development
• the Nordic social model
• sustainability and nature
• multicultural life in Oslo
Many guests appreciate this broader perspective because it helps them understand Norway, not just see it.
Why Guests Choose Nordisk Experiences?
Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of guiding travelers from all over the world. Many guests say the experience feels different from a traditional city tour.

A deeper perspective
Tours combine history, culture, architecture and modern Norwegian society to help visitors understand how the country works beyond the surface.
Storytelling instead of scripts
Rather than repeating facts from a guidebook, the tours are built as conversations connecting places, stories and ideas.
International experience
My background working with travelers, international media productions and cultural projects allows me to adapt tours to many different audiences.
Certified outdoor leadership
I am also a certified Nærturleder with DNT – Den Norske Turistforening, reflecting my strong connection with Norwegian outdoor culture and nature.

A relaxed and personal atmosphere
Guests often say the experience feels less like a tour and more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend.

Media, Journalism and International Productions
Alongside guiding travelers, I work as a local producer and fixer for international media productions filming in Norway, supporting journalists and television crews from broadcasters including BBC, CNN Brasil, Sky News, RTL Deutschland, ARTE, ZDF, RTVE Spain, Disney TV and others. I also contribute articles and observations about Oslo to travel platforms such as Time Out and Spotted by Locals, including insights that helped bring attention to the historic Sagene district, later included in Time Out’s list of the 49 coolest neighborhoods in the world in 2021.

Languages
Tours can be conducted in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and Dutch. I also speak fluent Norwegian, which allows me to bridge conversations between visitors and local culture.
For families, couples and individual travelers, this often creates a more relaxed and personal experience. Exploring a city in your own language makes it easier to ask questions, share perspectives and discover surprising connections between your country and Norway. Many guests are surprised by how much their own history, culture or values resonate with the Norwegian story.
A Personal Invitation
Today, with so much information available online and across countless platforms, it is easier than ever to learn about a destination before arriving. Yet nothing replaces the experience of discovering a city through human interaction and personal conversation.
Walking through Oslo with a local allows you to see the city through a different lens — connecting places, stories and everyday life in ways that guidebooks and websites cannot offer.
During the experience I also share many practical tips, local recommendations and hidden places, so that you can continue exploring the city with greater confidence and curiosity during the rest of your stay.
My goal is simple: that after the tour you will see Oslo and Norway with different eyes, and that your visit becomes even more meaningful.
